Back to Doing What I Love
After a life-giving sabbatical and a focused season of support raising, I’m so grateful to be back doing what my heart loves most—working toward the completion of the Great Commission!
My time at home this past year was incredibly needed. It gave me space to rest, refocus, reconnect, and prepare for what’s next. I’m deeply thankful for everyone who encouraged, prayed, and gave so I could step back into the field refreshed and ready.
Now, I’m back on the ground (and on the water!) in Ensenada, Mexico, helping to train and launch the next wave of missionaries.
Preparing the Called to Sail
This summer, I’m serving on staff with YWAM Ships Corpus Christi’s School of Navigation and Seamanship here in Ensenada, Mexico. We kicked off on June 23rd with 7 students from the U.S., Mexico, and Germany!
Over the next three months, we’ll be walking with these students through daily life, discipleship, and hands-on maritime training. They’re learning to navigate by compass and chart, practice marine safety, maintain vessel systems, and serve effectively as crew aboard YWAM ships.
But it’s not just about learning to sail—it’s about reaching those who can only be reached by sea.
There are thousands of islands and coastal villages around the world that can only be accessed by boat. The people living in those remote places need someone to bring them the Gospel—and that’s what this school is about. We’re preparing these students to crew vessels that will carry the Good News to the isolated and unreached.
We’re also excited to be hosted by YWAM Rancho Abierto, a beautiful base here in Ensenada. Their team feels called to be part of this vision too—to help send vessels and train future crew. By running the school here instead of Corpus Christi, we’re not just training students—we’re helping multiply this mission. Our team is actively equipping local leaders so they can carry this school forward in the future.
It’s such a joy to be part of a mission where practical skills meet Kingdom purpose.
Partnering in Prayer
Thank you for your continued prayers, encouragement, and support. I truly couldn’t do this without you, and I’m so grateful for the community of people walking with me through every season.
Here are a few ways you can be praying with me right now:
🙏 For our students – That they would grow in character, confidence, and calling as they prepare for a life of missions.
🙏 For me and our staff team – That we would have wisdom, insight, and unity as we train and equip the students both spiritually and practically.
🙏 For health and capacity – That I’d continue to walk in strength, rest, and joy as I balance health coaching and missions work.
🙏 For open doors – That God would continue to open the right opportunities to serve and share, both locally and globally.
🙏 For provision – Financial support for ongoing mission work, training, and outreach.
Thank you again for standing with me. I’m excited for what’s ahead and honored to have you as part of this journey!
