A Belated but Grateful Update

This January update is coming a little later than planned, but I’m thankful for the opportunity to reflect on all that God has done so far this year. January was full, busy, and faith-building, and I’m grateful for His guidance every step of the way.

I’m grateful for His guidance every step of the way.

A Powerful Vision Night in Corpus Christi

One of the biggest highlights was our recent vision and fundraising event in Corpus Christi. It was a wonderful evening of sharing what God is doing through our ministry, where He is leading us, and how people can partner with us through prayer, service, and financial support.

The room was full, every chair was occupied, and it truly felt like a “God thing” from start to finish. We were so encouraged by the interest, support, and the way God moved in people’s hearts.

This event was also recorded and is now available on YouTube. Several team members shared about our history, vision, and testimonies of God’s faithfulness. I also shared stories of the fruit I’ve seen through this ministry. Below is the link to this video. I encourage you to watch if you’d like to learn more about what God is doing and ways you can be involved.

Encouraging Health Event

At the beginning of January, I helped host a health event focused on honoring God with our bodies. We invited pastors, ministry leaders, and others to reflect on what it means to care well for the temples God has given us.

I believe God is calling the church to a higher standard in this area, and that we should be leading the way. The church should be a shining example of what it means to flourish spiritually and physically.

God has been working deeply in my own life in this area, and it was a joy to share this journey with others and encourage the church to pursue health and wholeness.

Preparing for the Introduction to Maritime Missions School

A major focus in January was preparing for our new school launching in April: Introduction to Maritime Missions (IMM).

This three-month program (with an optional outreach afterward) focuses on:

  • Learning how to sail

  • Learning how to be a safe and effective crew member

  • Learning cross-cultural missions and ministry in isolated communities

In April and June, students will train in Corpus Christi, learning how to serve effectively on our vessels. In May, we plan to travel to Panama and possibly Costa Rica to work among isolated indigenous communities. During this time, students will receive hands-on training in cross-cultural ministry and effective outreach in isolated environments.

I have been working on developing the full 12-week curriculum, outlining weekly objectives and lessons. I am very excited about all that this school will entail and am trusting God to bring the right students at the right time.

If you or someone you know may be interested, please feel free to reach out.

Praying Through the Next Steps for Our Vessel

Last summer, we used one of our vessels in Mexico for the School of Navigation and Seamanship that I led there. Now that we no longer need the boat in that location, we have been praying about what God’s next step is for it.

We sense that God is leading us to bring the vessel back to the United States, somewhere in Southern California for now—preferably in the San Diego area. Eventually, we hope to have it trucked to Corpus Christi, but for now, we are following His leading step by step.

Moving the boat is a complex and costly process, requiring specialized transport and careful planning. We are trusting God to provide clarity, timing, and financial provision as we move forward.

Upcoming Valentine’s Outreach

This Saturday we are hosting a Valentine’s outreach in a local park here in Corpus Christi. We are excited for this opportunity to share God’s love in our community and pray that He will draw the right people and open hearts to receive Him.

Looking Ahead with Gratitude

January has been full of preparation, outreach, and vision. I am grateful for all God is doing and for each of you who walks with me through prayer, encouragement, and support. There is much more ahead, and I look forward with faith and expectancy.

Please join us in praying for:
