Halfway There—And God Is On the Move!
We’re halfway through the SONS (School of Navigation and Seamanship) here at Rancho Abierto, and what a powerful six weeks it’s been! These students are growing daily in both their knowledge and skills. They’re learning navigation, seamanship, and sailing, and I can’t wait to see how God will use this training to propel them into the calling He has for each one.
Why do we run this school? Because our heart is to see more YWAM vessels crewed and launched to reach the most isolated islands of the world…especially those who have yet to hear the Gospel. These students are being equipped to be part of that mission. It’s humbling and exciting all at once.
A Tale of Two Boats – Glory Bound & Regalo ⛵⚓
In late April and early May, we sailed Glory Bound down here to use for training. But after the sail, she needed some maintenance—and as often happens with boats, that turned into a bit more than we anticipated. It’s taking longer than we hoped, but we’re trusting God’s timing and provision.
In the meantime, we’re celebrating the incredible gift of Regalo (Spanish for “gift”)—a beautiful sailboat generously donated to the ministry. What a blessing! She also needed to be pulled out of the water briefly for some maintenance/repairs and an inspection required for insurance. We’re excited for all God has in store for her!
Once both vessels are fully repaired and Regalo’s insurance is finalized, we’ll have both a power boat and a sailing vessel ready for hands-on student training. Please continue to pray with us for favor and timely provision as we work to get both vessels fully operational and back in the water.
Coaching Wins – Health for the Harvest
I also want to give a quick update on my health coaching journey; God is doing so much here too! Coaching continues to be a huge blessing. It’s an incredible honor to walk with people as they pursue better health, not just to feel better physically, but so they can serve God with even more energy, freedom, and longevity. Watching lives transform in both body and spirit is deeply fulfilling.
🙏 Prayer Requests
Thank you for your continued prayers, encouragement, and support. I truly couldn’t do this without you, and I’m so grateful for the community of people walking with me through every season.
Here are a few ways you can be praying with me right now:
For our students: that they continue to learn, grow, and press into all that God has for them during these next 6 weeks.
For Glory Bound: that all the remaining repairs go smoothly and she can return to the water soon.
For Regalo: that we’re able to finish the repairs and finalize the insurance quickly so she’s ready for full use in the training.
For me personally: that I stay grounded in my relationship with God, take care of myself well, and stay aligned with His purpose in all I do.
Thank you for standing with me in prayer, encouragement, and support. Together, we’re helping prepare the way, both spiritually and literally, for the Gospel to reach the ends of the earth.
