April 2026 Update

April has been such an exciting month, and I’m so grateful to share a glimpse of it with you! Our students have been growing so much as they are learning to sail and becoming effective crew members. Take a moment to watch the video below and see firsthand what they’ve been up to.

Learning the Ropes (Literally)

Week 4 marks a big milestone for our Introduction to Maritime Missions school. We’re almost one-third of the way through! Students are diving into the practical side of sailing, learning lines, movement, teamwork, and safety. There’s something powerful about watching people go from unsure to capable as they begin to find their footing on the water.

Training Beyond Borders: Panama & Costa Rica Ahead

This May, our classroom is expanding far beyond Corpus Christi as we head to Panama and Costa Rica. Students will be stepping into cross-cultural ministry, learning how to effectively serve and share the Gospel in more remote communities.

We’ll be working alongside long-term missionaries who have dedicated their lives to reaching these areas. This will give our students the opportunity not only to learn, but to see it lived out daily. What excites me most is that this isn’t just about what we will do there, but about what we are preparing these students to go and do in other remote places in the future.

Stepping Out in Faith: Provision for the Journey

As I am leading this school, I also have the privilege of going with the students to Panama and Costa Rica. As I write this, I have departed and am currently flying to Panama. I’m so grateful to share that God has already provided just under $2,000 toward this trip.

In my March update, I estimated needing $3,000, but as details have come together, the actual cost is closer to $4,000 to cover housing, food, transportation, and ministry expenses. I am trusting God to provide the remaining amount in His perfect timing.

If you feel led, I would deeply appreciate your prayers that every need is met before the expenses are due. God has already shown Himself faithful, and I am so thankful for each person who has given and made this possible.

Prayer Requests

Thank you so much for your continued prayers. They truly make a difference. Please join me in praying for:

  • That each IMM student would learn all that God has for them in this season

  • That their hearts would be prepared for cross-cultural ministry

  • For God to move in our lives in mighty ways

  • That God would go before us in Panama and Costa Rica

  • That God would truly transform lives through the ministry we are part of

  • For God to provide for the remaining needs of this trip

Thank you again for your encouragement, prayers, and support. I’m expectant for all that God will do in this coming season and look forward to sharing more soon.
